The challenge
In UAE, the Utility Major was building the world's largest single-site solar park. Every module and innovation behind it had to be proven and needed one system that could serve both its research labs and its certification labs, to international standards.
In KSA, the Oil & Gas major needed to emulate and simulate Solar PV plants for various industrial use cases.
What DSAT delivered
At the Utility Major, DSAT delivered, installed and commissioned the Ecoprogetti Ecosun Plus bifacial sun simulator. When testing revealed the need for rapid cooling, DSAT engineered and implemented the customisation on site, in line with the specified standards, and maintains the system to this day.
At the Oil & Gas major, delivered, installed and commissioned Chroma ATS System
The result
The utility major now reproduces the sun on demand, in its own laboratory - R&D and certification-grade testing under one roof, at the pace its programmes require.
The Oil & Gas major now emulates and simulates sun in their laboratory.
Outcome
A direct contribution to UAE and KSA’s Integrated Energy Strategy - turning the region’s abundant sunlight into faster PV innovation
